I’m a city girl, who fell in love with a country boy, who lived on his family farm. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined that after living in the big city, and traveling around the world, that I would settle down in the cozy mid-west countryside. However, I can’t imagine a better place to be.
My country boy and I got married 10 years ago, and now we have a little family of our own. Becoming a mother has shifted me towards a slower more deliberate life. We want to create an intentional environment for our children, and after fencing in 20 acres of pasture, we’ve started by raising chickens and cows at our home in the woods.
Being intentional has lead me to seek out high quality things for our kids and our home, which I always find for a great deal. I love to research the latest and greatest products, and I find that one carefully purchased item, can usually replace 10 of a lesser quality. I could talk baby gear for days!
Recently, I was chosen to be a Brand Ambassador for Guidance Guide, a new online community launching mid-2017. It is a place for parents to connect and learn from each other. I will keep you updated when the site goes live!
Throughout my posts I try to document my experience on this journey, with my little family on our little farm. I am continuously humbled by how little I know, and how much I want to grow.
